The General Directorate of Energy and Mining Policy of the Ministry of Energy has granted IPH to carry out an authorized TRAINING as an external training entity to develop training activities to obtain the gunner’s card and gunner’s assistant.
The work of the gunner is very delicate and requires specialized training in which the weight of work in safety is essential. IPH has a long history not only as a training entity, but its trainers are professionals in the mining sector with experience as explosives specialists, optional directors of mining operations and health and safety coordinators.
The gunner is the worker who performs the operations of handling, handling and use of explosives, including loading, unloading from an explosive loader, firing and destruction or disposal of explosives. For his IPH training he will teach the theoretical-practical course of basic gunner, and the theoretical course of specialized gunner. The latter enables the gunner to perform special blasting, such as those carried out underwater, in the presence of a potentially explosive atmosphere due to the presence of gases, flammable or explosive dusts, or demolitions.
The gunner’s assistant constitutes support personnel, who collaborate, under the supervision of the gunner, in the operations of movement and transfer of explosives and blasting accessories, not being able to intervene in the operations of loading, firing or destruction of explosives, as well as personnel who carry out training activities for dogs used to detect explosives. For his training IPH will teach the artillery assistant course.
