Within the framework of the XVII National Congress of Remote Sensing, our partner Fran Daza gave a Practical Course on Operation of Drones Applied to Bathymetry, which took place on October 3 in Murcia, and which, consisting of workshop and presentation, served as a prelude of this national level technical meeting.
In the course, the attendees of photogrammetry and bathymetry were introduced, and the principles of the drone operation were discussed: Aerial and Floating.
Fran Daza also spoke about the methodology of data collection and treatment of photogrammetric images, bathymetric data, underwater inspection, and multispectral and thermal images.
The integration and treatment of data for the 3D modeling of reservoirs was deepened, as well as the calculation of the bathymetry of a reservoir and the estimation of the volume, all of which are works in which IPH is a specialist.
The practical part consisted of the field demonstration in operation: Drones, photogrammetric, multispectral, thermal cameras and bathymetric sensors.
